The majority of steel box sections can be cut to size dependant on the requirements of the job you are carrying out. The high carbon content of Steel is beneficial as this enables to forming process to be carried out with less ease to the product.
To improve corrosion and extend the life of a Steel Box Section it is recommended that these are galvanised prior to use. Without doing so could result in moisture and oxygen reacting with the steel causing it to oxidise which in turn weakens the steel to rust. This is a process we can carry out here at Harris Steels if you wish to take this option or we do have a range of pre-galvanised steel box sections which quickens the production if you are meeting strict deadlines.
