080A15-Cold Rolled
Description:
080A15 is a low carbon steel, extensively supplied as a bright drawn/cold rolled product with tight dimensional tolerances. The product is supplied with a chemical analysis only, as indicated by the letter A. The material has improved machining qualities over a hot rolled product with similar chemistry, however the cold rolling process imparts work hardening stress into the material, Making thermal heat treatments necessary depending on application. Cold forming is not generally recommended for this product.
